An apartment is no different: do not sign the lease until you are satisfied that the property is in good condition inside and out. But the most important thing is not to rush to sign your contract. You can always ask for a copy of the contract in advance, so you have time to read it correctly. Make sure you keep a copy and don`t hesitate to ask for anything. Also make sure that the deposit is clearly indicated, as well as a written deadline for the repayment of the deposit after the inspection.
